BARCELONA -(Dow Jones)- Nokia Corp. (NOK), the world's largest manufacturer of mobile phone handsets, Monday announced the launch of Ovi store, its rival to Apple Inc.'s (AAPL) App Store.
Nokia said its N97 smartphone will be the first to be pre-integrated with the service, which will combine location-based services, applications and content.
Nokia also launched publish.ovi.com for developers to upload applications, with the option for content developers to charge if they so choose, with a revenue share model of 70% to the developer.
